CFC launched its fourth CFC Africa Insights report, “Casablanca, a mediation and arbitration hub for Africa”, in partnership with DLA Piper a member of the CFC community.

A keynote presentation was given by Mr. Saad EL MERNISSI, Partner at DLA Piper, providing insight on arbitration in Africa with a special focus on the CIMAC’s efforts towards making Morocco a mediation hub for the continent.

The event concluded around a panel discussion amongst industry professionals to discuss the current state of arbitration and mediation in Africa. The panel was moderated by Mr. Hicham Zegrary, Secretary General of CFC and Casablanca International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CIMAC), and included: Mr. Saad El Mernissi, Partner, DLA Piper, Mrs. FOUZIA EL GNAOUI, General Counsel, Legal & Compliance, LafargeHolcim Maroc, Mr. Philippe Daniel, Head of Finance, LafargeHolcim Maroc Afrique, Mr. Jacob Grierson, Vice President, CIMAC.
