Ghana Re has over 45 years presence on the African insurance market, and with its highly experienced team of professionals, provides reinsurance/advisory services for several companies on the continent. It also has presence in some European markets through strategic alliances/partnerships with international reinsurers and brokers.
From its head office located in Accra, Ghana, and two regional offices in Kenya (East Africa) and Cameroon (CIMA zone), Ghana Re supports a pool of insurers, reinsurers, and associate companies within the respective regional blocs.
Following milestones achieved in Cameroon and Kenya, Ghana Re has established the representative office, Ghana Reinsurance Casablanca Office, specifically within the CFC Bridge, to afford the Company proximity to clients within North Africa Region and further develop its North African clientele centered around direct and insurance broking firms.
As a reinsurer, the Company also actively participates as a member of industry organizations including Africa Insurance Organization (AIO), Organisation of Eastern and Sothern Africa Insurers (OESAI), West African Insurance Companies Association (WAICA), Fédération des Sociétés d’Assurances de Droit National Africaines (FANAF), Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Reinsurers (Fair Pool) and Ghana Insurers Association (GIA).
